Why not do it with others? Are you scared of getting STD's? They aren't really AS bad as everyone makes them out to be...

It's less distracting to DIY, then you don't have to worry about if she's done, or if you're done too slowly, or too quickly, when it's done, it's done, and you can pat youself on the back (after washing your hands) and say "Job well done"

I always prefer to do it with someone else. It gets so boring 'flying solo' after a while. And STDs can be easily avoided if you use the good tools and plenty of protective clothing.

Why do it myself? Because I am one of few who can!
Anyway, I have such a talent for it I really think it's a pity to let such highly developed skills (not to mention dexterity) deteriate. :)
