The first part of this question is a little confusing. If you are asking what a sunflower is it is a flower with a single row of yellow petals around the outside and a round center full of brown seeds.
It is called a sunflower because the head of the flower will turn to follow the sun as it moves across the sky each day.

A sunflower is a big (sometimes several inches across) round flower with yellow petals sticking out all around it. It gets its name, because it looks like a sun (like the kind that a little kid would draw with crayons - round ball with yellow rays emanating from it).
