I was in an auto-draft hockey pool and was stuck with Scott Niedermayer. Should I hold on to him and hope he comes back to play or just dump him?

If you have a spare bench spot that doesn't have anyone worth keeping, it MIGHT be worth hanging on and seeing what happens. But odds are you will just be wasting space. Don't feel bad about dumping him if you can get someone decent.

p.s. Careful about doing what the guy above me said. If you switch people out all the time based on who is playing, you will lose your league. There is a maximum games played limit, and whenever you start someone who is mediocre "just because they are playing that day," you are likely losing a game from one of your stars. Not smart.

Dump him.
In most pools I would say hold BUT in the hockey pools here you can switch player everyday during the week depending on who is play.

If you hold him it will give you a great disadvantage if Shots on goal, Assists, Goals and pretty much every offensive stat. With the scoring system it will give you a disadvantage in 6 out of the 10 categories which will leave you at a great disadvantage.
