I have a 2004 Mazda 3 with a factory 6-disc changer. There is a CD stuck inside the changer, it wont even try to spit it out and I can't hear the motor trying either. I've tried taking out the radio fuse to reset but that didn't work. I tried using tweezers, but the slot is so narrow that the smallest tweezers automatically close up as soon as you slide it in the slot (meaning I can't get a grip on the CD - I can just lift up and push down on the CD a little). I have a really long & thin nail file that I've been sliding around in there, trying to get it out but nothing happens and it gets frustrating after hours of fidgeting. I have no idea of how to take it apart and I don't want to damage anything, how do I remove the CD without having to take it to the dealership? The warranty has expired, and I know it will cost big $$. Is there some kind of tool that I could get a grip on the CD with? All the tweezers I see in the stores are too big and they won't fit properly.

I'm pretty sure there are no stickers/labels on the stuck CD, but if there were, what difference would that make in getting the CD out manually?
Would there be a different process?

So I've been informed of this "hole" that is supposedly a manual eject? Where is it? the CD slot is about 5-6 inches wide but only about a quarter inch thick.... kinda hard to spot a "hole" in there... would it be on the right side? the left side? the middle? under the CD? over the CD?

Are you talking about a 6 disc in dash, or 6 disc in the trunk? Stop by your local stereo install place ie Bestbuy, etc. They should be able to get it out in a jiffy. Should be able to bribe an under paid tech to do it for you.

Here's a thought..
Got some black electrical tape?
Pierce the end of a kind of long piece with your nail file and guide the tape over the disc.

Now, get it to stick to the top surface of the disc, remove your file, press eject, and gently tug on the tape.

Just a thought.......Good luck.

Oh, I recommend electrical tape because it won't tear in half as easy as other tapes might.

ADDED:
Umm....Does it have power to it?
Blown fuse?
Maybe the little motor isn't working because it doesn't have any electricity....?

Some players have a small hole you stick a bent paper clip wire into to force it to release.
