Who deserves government-subsidized health insurance?
What if I told you I drove these three cars
A Volvo SUV…
A GMC Suburban…
And a nice, big Ford F250 Pickup work truck…
And what if I told you, further, that I owned a large home and commercial property worth at least $400,000 in total–property for which I paid a total of $215,000?
And what if I told you, in addition, that I was resourceful enough to cobble together financing (through scholarships and other means) for private school education for four children?
And what if I told you that neither I nor my spouse were employed full-time–one of us working “intermittently” and the other “part-time”?
Would you consider my family “exactly the kind” and “precisely the type” of family that should benefit from S-CHIP, the government-subsidized health insurance program intended for the “working poor?”
Or will they be honest and say its all about giving everyone free healthcare not just "for the children"

FYI, Golden Rule Insurance currently offers a plan for a healthy Baltimore family of 6 for $190 to $423 per month depending on the plan. Once again, of course, the Left will decry the high cost of insurance for consumers trying to get it after a catastrophic event.
Once again, they will ignore the fundamental
concept of how insurance is supposed to work. :
If you don’t buy it before you need it, you shouldn’t be shocked if it’s difficult to impossible to get after you need it.

It's more than just being about health-care for everyone.
It's about taking that first painful step, using 'the children' as a tool to create a monstrous bureaucracy to administer it.
Once those logistics are in place, every step toward socialism in the other sectors will seem natural.
It's a certainty. There will be one agency after another tasked to support the health care system and they will all be caught in the same bureaucratic web.
The bills to support it all will come incrementally as add ons to other bills 'For the Children'. We won't even see it coming.
Hillary has said it in clear terms.
She said her mistake the first time is that she tried to do too much all at once. This time she will spoon feed it to us so we don't gag but it will be the same damned thing she tried to choke us all with the last time.

Sounds like you are exactly the type of person who takes advantage of anything and every situation you can. Precisely the kind of person cons think are ok to do so, because they are wealthier than the poor who do so.
But, since I am a bit educated, I also know you are leaving out a big portion of the facts.
Considering if you own property that you lease out, but do not have to actively do much labor, being a landlord is still working and income, whether or not you have to do anything more than deposit the rent checks. You can still claim you are only working part-time, when it is considered anythig but. You aren't going to get to the that point, just on a 40k a year income. Well unless you are 80 years old.
Also, if you own all that, you probably have some sort of health insurance, because I doubt you would ignore insuraing anythign and everything you can. You would be stupid, not to.
With that being said, why should anyone support the government paying for health coverage you already have access to?
Now, if your child was unisured, would you rather take them to the emergency room for a sprained ankle and pay $1000 for the treatment, or take them to a regular office visit and pay your deductible of $5 -25 and be done?
the reason I ask, is because the $1000 is what we are already paying per person on the medicaid program since most doctors don't accept it, and they are forced to go to the ER for every little problem.
We considering the insurance can be considered the earned income credit of the people getting it, I don't see that it is any more socialized than our current system.

Do you think a family could afford to live on $45,000 a year while having to pay $14,400 a year for private inusurance, which is the lowest price the mother could find for her family?

Be glad you are in good health and have healthy children. Debilitating diseases like diabetes, cancer, muscular dystrophy and others can result in a family losing everything of value. The insurance company may drop your coverage. If the person has a pre-existing condition they may not have insurance anyway. Try and pay 400 dollars a week for insulin or pay for in home care for someone who is a quadraplegic. Try and see how far the money goes when you have to pay for chemotherapy for a cancer patient. Then come back and tell us your story.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, I'll guess this is a question rolled up in a statement and mixed in with a bit of bragging. No, it never was a bid to provide free health care for children, it's an extension to a bill that's already been in existence for ten years (enacted by Republicans) and it's purpose is to aid parents in purchasing health care for their children. Of course it would be natural for you conservatives to be against anything that has a liberal slant to it, even if it has support within your own party. Amazing what hatred does to people.

I would wager that you also get every morning about 5 AM. Let me know if I am right about that. I have this theory that industrious people are all early risers and always show up 10 to 15 minutes early for every appointment.

Hi There.
WHO deserves Govt-subsidised health insurance?
Oh, no-one, just a hard-working corporate drone who honestly and seriously is working his life away yet is falling to the wrong side of the fianancial divide.
It shouldnt happen and health insurance through taxation should be OPTIONAL, but through conservative elitism America is turning into a have-or-have-not state.
This is stifling the American dream.
Hey, I was honest!

THE GOVT. GAVE THIS COUNTRY THE MOST DISGUSTING GIFT IT COULD. AN ENTITLEMENT SOCIETY, FOR YEARS WE ON THE RIGHT HAVE TRIED TO COMBAT THIS OUTRAGEOUS CONCEPT, AND I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT WE ARE LOSING THE BATTLE. BUT THE WAR IS NOT LOST! WE MUST EDUCATE OUR PEOPLE (AND THEM DAMN ILLEGALS) THAT THE GOVT. JOB IS NOT TO TAKE CARE OF US "CRADLE TO GRAVE" AND WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL "PROTECT US", WE MUST POINT OUT THAT THE GOVT. MAKES A MESS OF ANYTHING IT PUTS ITS HANDS ON. THERE WAS A TIME WHEN YOU WENT TO THE DOCTOR, AND HE SENT YOU A BILL, YOU WOULD PAY IT. BUT AS SOON AS THE GOVT. GOT THEIR HANDS ON HEALTH CARE IT HAS BECOME A MONSTROSITY. THEY SAY RISING COST, BUT NEVER TELL YOU IT'S BECAUSE OF THE GOVT.. IT COMES DOWN TO CONTROL, THEY WANT IT THUS THIS IS JUST ONE OF MANY WAYS THEY TRY TO OBTAIN IT.
THE S-CHIP FUNDING WAS NEVER GOING AWAY, FACT IS BUSH ADDED 4 MILLION TO IT. CHECK MY FACT ON THE DOLLAR AMOUNT, BUT THE POINT STILL STANDS, NO ONE WAS GETTING RID OF THE PROGRAM, WE ON THE RIGHT ARE AGAINST THIS BACK DOOR ENTRANCE TO NATIONAL HEALTH CARE, THAT IF EXPANDED LIKE THE LIBS WANT, WOULD FURTHER THEIR CAUSE IN TAKING MORE CONTROL OVER IT'S SOCIETY. IF THEY GET THEIR WAY IN THE END, THEY (GOVT.) WILL TELL YOU WHEN YOU CAN GO TO THE DOCTOR, WHERE TO GO, HELL IF THE GOVT. DOESN'T FEEL THAT YOUR ILLNESS IS WORTH THE TIME, YOU JUST MIGHT FIND YOURSELF ON YOUR DEATH BED. AND THAT WOULD BE JUST ONE LESS PERSON THE GOVT. HAS TO WORRY ABOUT. I VALUE MY FREEDOM AND RIGHTS. ALL THIS EXPANSION DOES IS TAKE THEM AWAY FROM YOU AND I.

No your family wouldnt be the one its aimed at....but as a whole if we took 100 families with your same income level, 99 of those families would not be nearly as well off as you.....so you suggest we withhold health care for 99 families just to make sure that the 1 that doesnt really need doesnt get it?
