for most men it is a fantasy they will never be able to experience. so the next best thing is porn. i work in a porn store and they are men of all ages. most women think it is old dirty men that is not the case. most men are happily married and this is a way to keep there sex life healthy. some are lonely single men and yes some are dirty and old but everyone has their own reasons for watching porn. it is so popular today it is a multi million dollar industry. it does not bother most women.

Most guys need it to satisfy their sexual urges. Some of us actually need help fulfilling our needs and porn does the trick more times than not. I'm not afraid to say that I watch it, but by no means am I addicted to it. .
Porn can be more satisfying than phone sex or looking in a magazines. For single guys who need a little sexual satisfaction without the hassle of finding someone else, porn is the perfect thing to satisfy us. As long as we don't start any unhealthy addictions that might hurt us, it's okay to watch.

You mean 'some' men. Not all men do. Why do SOME men like to watch porn? Because men are extremely visually oriented and porn arouses them. Is this really such a mystery? Do you imagine that everyone is the same, and because it doesn't turn YOU on, it shouldn't turn ANYONE on?

I heard of a study done about something similar to this once. It is true that more men watch porn then women.
It was determined that men are stimulated more by visual imagery and women are more stimulated by intellectual and emotional concepts.
But then again your question does generalize a little.

In general, males have evolved to be more visually stimulated when it comes to sex. Also in general, women have evolved to be more emotionally stimulated when it comes to sex. In ages past, this has helped males select women with a higher chance of surviving childbirth, and it has helped females select men who will be better fathers and providers for their children.
The net result of these specific tendencies?
1. Men tend to do things like watch porn, visit strip clubs and turn their heads at every awesome rack that passes them by, while
2. Women tend to read sappy novels, love men who are confident and assertive, and value a man's socioeconomic skills more than his six-pack.
However, it's best to understand that gender generalizations aren't universally applicable.

it helps in many ways. for example it relieves stress. sometimes if your partner is tired and doesnt want to have sex, porn is helpful but too much of it can cause addiction. its natural these days just dont get offended when you catch your boyfriend/husband watching porn as it is perfectly normal
