For those asking why:
It's quite simple. He was presented with the award for making a DOCUMENTARY, when it is clear that he embellished and distorted facts to make it more dramatic. Being that he was given the award for a documentary and not a drama, it is therefore only appropriate for that decision to be recinded and the award given to someone who made a REAL documentary.

I'm not sure why he'd be stripped of his Oscar. Did the wacky Hollywood libs suddenly stop loving the propagandist?

Why on Earth would he be stripped of his Oscar? The dream of cons is that it will happen but you have to remember that according to cons Hollywood is all liberal anyway. So it stands to reason that Hollywood liberals would be more apt to agree with Gore and therefore he keeps the Oscar.
