Dodge is the "make" of the vehicle(the manufacturer) and Ram is just a model name for a specific vehicle the build.

This is another pay on words to make people buy trucks ,playing off the ram charger one of the roughest turfiest truck ever made . Its also got a hemi in it which it really doesn't. These are all he-man names for just another truck. It looks like it's working for them I see a lot of them on the road.
