running the risk of ruining the plot this man is stuck back in time, he falls in love everything is so perfect it might make you sick then something has to happen because the man who helped send him back (fellow scientist) Is going to try and get him back and he needs a reason to leave (and take the girl with him most likely) must kill everyone in town or at least would kill the main characters so that the time line is not messed up with her returning from the past to the future with him
any ideas?

OK, tornadoes!
1967 was the worst year for tornadoes in Michigan but the worst killers were in 1964 and 1965:
MAY 8, 1964 4:59 pm 11 dead 224 injured
A short, wide and intense path was cut across the Anchor Bay area, north of Mt. Clemens.
APR 11, 1965 6:50 pm 5 dead 142 injured
Thirty two homes were destroyed and 192 damaged in the Comstock Park and Alpine (five deaths) area.
APR 11, 1965 7:00 pm 44 dead 612 injured
The death toll: Branch County (19), Hillsdale County (11), Lenawee County (14).

Well, it didn't help that you did not state the time period or the place, but here it goes. I assume the setting is the United States. If during colonial times, an indian attack or an attack by the French (if nearer the Canadian border) or by the British if in a loyalist enclave such as near the Boston or Philadelphia areas would be plausible. If during the early 1800's maybe a band of outlaws takes over the town. If during the Civil War, well it should be easy to figure something for that. If during the late 1800's or very early 1900's, an influenza epidemic. if during the 20's or 30's, maybe a mass flood like the Johnstown flood or an earthquake like San Francisco in 1906 or a hurricane like Galveston in 1900 (if set near the coast, of course). I would stay away from anything far fetched like a meteorite or the supernatural. Good luck! Post the title when you're a famous authoress!

You could make a list of the natural dangers of the setting, and then pick one.
If it's in the old west, it could be an indian attack.
During a war, it could be bombs or fires.
European middle-ages---invading armies, or plague.

It sounds like you are really having fun with this, and that's great. I do have one suggestion, and I hope it doesn't hurt your feelings.
Please learn how to use periods and commas. It will make everything you write so much better.

Best wishes,
James

i'm able to make certain 2 factors to this: On one hand, it is not possibly your difficulty. It would not sound such as you have a lot of a dating with this woman or her mom as properly boarding on the comparable place, so I doubt they are going to hearken to to you. If something, they are going to in all likelihood only think of you're rude for butting into their organization. i don't foresee your suggestion being properly-gained. on the different hand, i'm able to in common terms think of how problematic it is going to be for you. you are attempting to help this little beast of a toddler who won't hear. If her mom finally ends up breeding their mare and that they finally end up with a foal, it is going to be a disaster. they are going to locate out the problematic way how plenty paintings and money and information it takes to reproduce a horse. they gained't have the skill to handle the foal, and the undesirable little colt or filly (who shouldn't exist contained in the 1st place) will go through. they might finally end up dumping it someplace or giving it away. i might experience obligated to assert some thing, too. i think of the final component you're able to do is physique of ideas the mummy (without the daughter modern) and gently tell her related to the fact of having a foal. clarify the fees, from the stud value, prenatal care, particular feeding, etc. to not point out the probability to the mare and the actuality that foals require marvelous expertise. they are not born knowledgeable, you may paintings with them every day, and you may understand precisely what you're doing. according to hazard she'll see the sunshine, according to hazard she won't. a minimum of you realize you tried.

He uses everyday materials from then to build a modern explosive device to level the town. It would make innocuous his gathering of items and would use the basic science of today. In addition, having the town - in the historical time line - suffering such a fate would make for the parallels you are seeking.

The Roanoke colony. Everyone disappeared and no one was ever found. There would be no need to kill everyone since the timeline already confirms they disappeared.

A fire.

One bad spark and the whole town goes up in flame. No firemen, no fire alarms, no fire exstinguishers. Just hot hot heat.
