My opinion is, if they had decided to give Bush the Nobel Peace Prize, everyone would go nuts.

Besides it's a PEACE Prize and Bush certainly is not peaceful.

the purely component W. merits is a spanking from his dad for the mess he made in Iraq. actual he's getting a kind of a spanking from his Dad's associates, as we talk. W is in charge for more desirable deaths than Saddam Hussein. How could he likely get a Nobel Peace Prize? Carter deserved it; Bush really would not.

As best I can tell, all the rats are abandoning ship; pretending not to know Bush. They will not be upset he didn't win a Nobel Peace Prize. To most Republi-cons the Prize is associated with being smart, even "Intellectual"; a four letter word if you are Republi-con. They will just attempt to discredit the Prize.

Every President has trips home or "vacation". All Presidents work around the clock no matter where they are just as most people do now days. You have heard of telecommunications, phones, computers, etc? You are ignorant if you think the President is not constantly involved with something in regards to matters of the nation.

The Nobel "Peace" Prize is a worthless honor that no longer has any meaning. Giving someone this "prize" for ranting around the globe about the theory of man-made global warming is quite ridiculous. I would hardly say that any environmental and/or political projects qualify as having anything to do with peace.

Look who has won this award in the past..... ex President Jimmy Carter, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Yassir Arafat to name a few. This is hardly a group promoting peace around the world. Arafat was won of the worst terrorists of the 20th century, Gorbachev ruled the last remnants of the Soviet Union and although tried to bring some reform (mostly due to the influence of President Reagan and the United States) he still terrorized many of his people, and Jimmy Carter runs around 3rd world countries saying how good their corrupt elections are while putting down his own country at every turn.

This award means nothing. It is handed out by a group of socialist Norwegians who know nothing about the real world as they sit behind their desks and dream about an idyllic world with no crime, murder or wars.

Maybe President Bush or the United States military should get this prize since they do more for bringing peace & security to the world than anyone.

Maybe Al "Jet Flying, big house living, SUV driving" Gore will hand his prize over and congratulate those that actual do something to end tyranny, defeat evil and prosper peace and freedom.

No I don't think the Republicans even thought about Bush getting the Nobel Peace Prize. I'll bet that when Bill and Hillary heard the news Hillary cackled and Bill stomped the floor and said "That little tub of lard I made him whet he is to-day and they gave him the Peace Prize"
