The last three Stanley Cup Finals had one team from the US and one from Canada playing against eachother:
2003-04, Tampa Bay Lightning vs Calgary Flames
2005-06, Carolina Hurricanes vs Edmonton Oilers
2006-07, Anaheim Ducks vs Ottawa Senators

There's always a "Bring the Cup back to Canada" rally.
Again, what happens if a Canadian team doesn't make it to the Stanley Cup Finals?
You can answer this seriously or not seriously. I'm just curious.

ICEWOMAN - I love Canadians. There. I said it! Lol, but seriously, I know it's Canada's game, I'm not asking WHY Canadians want a Canadian team to win it. I've asked about that before so I could get several really good explanations anyway.
CHABATHE - Read the above. :)

Well, there won't be the rally you mentioned. I'm not too sure what else will happen though.

I honestly like seeing Canadian teams in the finals, its a time that really shows how much more the Canadians care about their Hockey. I would love to witness two Canadian teams in the finals, the passion would be overwhelming.

The last time we seen two cities that were crazy about their teams in the finals was in 96-97 with the Wings and Flyers.

Wow, I went a little bit off topic on that one, lol, oh well.

The Greatest vs. the Sharks. Habs win it all and take Cup #25...#11 since the Laffs last one. Including Montreal's win in 93 every Canadian team has taken a turn for the Cup except Toronto.

The world will come to an end.

Or not. We didn't have a Canadian based team in the Cup finals from 1995 through 2003 and we all lived.

But more importantly, let's hope for some good hockey and for a Canadian Based team to WIN the Cup.

Well if NONE of the Canadian teams make it to the Stanley Cup finals, I will just root for a team that I like from the Western Conference that are in the states. I like Colorado Avalanche. Joe Sakic is hot anyways. I normally don't watch anymore if None of the Canadian teams make it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

There is a good chance that One of the Canadian teams will make it though. Either the Canucks, Flames, Oilers, Leafs or Senators. Believe in your Canadian team that you root for. I root for Vancouver Canucks because I live in Vancouver.

LOL, i have a feeling either Vancouver, Ottawa or Calgary will make the stanley Cup Finals this year though.

I agree with Wings Fan!, that would be AWESOME if two Canadian teams made the Stanley Cup Finals, that would be awesome to watch.

Well, it would be an all American series. What can we say? "D'Oh Well!" But Ottawa might come back again this year...

Last canadian team to won the Cup has been the Montréal Canadiens back in 1993. Yup I sure hope that the Cup will back up here soon and what about an all Canadian Series?

Good question....for me if Ottawa doesnt make it, i could care less about the other 5 teams, none of them have a shot anyway, but Ottawa certainly does.
If there is no Canadian team in the final this year, people in Canada will go nuts, ill just find a team to cheer for, but like you Erica, im not gonna go buy a Columbus or San Jose jersey or go to the states to watch a game lol
starred.

No need to worry, the Ottawa Senators are a strong team that without any doubt will make the Stanley Cup Finals, probably even win it :P The other five teams, well, they can just rely on Ottawa (because honestly no one can literally expect them to make the finals).

Go SENS! :P

An overwhelming outcry for a new or relocated team north of the border.

They have a point, it's their game. Imagine the majority of Professional baseball, football, or basket ball in Canada...we would feel the same.
