Problem 1
12x + 2 ≤ 14
12x ≤ 12
x ≤1

Problem 2
3/8 ≤ (-1/6) x
18/8 ≤ - x
x ≥ - 18/8
x ≥ - 9/4

Problem 3
4x + 5 > 3
4x > - 2
x > - 1/2

1) 12x + 2 < 14
12x < 12
x < 1

NOTE: that's supposed to be less than or equal to, I just don't know how to type that on the keyboard.

2) Just remember when dividing or multiplying negatives, you switch the sign:

3/8 < -1/6X
3/8*-6 > x
-18/8 > x
-9/4 > x
also written as:
x < -9/4

Wow. We had the comparable innovations. the very suited rationalization for it rather is to transform each and all the operations into Multiplication. it rather is performed into : 6 x (a million/2) x (3) Any element divided into 2 could be converted as elevated right into a million/2 to that end, getting the respond 9 even if way. 18 x a million/2 3 x 3 a million.5 x 6 performed.

the first problem is 1

Take and subtract the 2 to the other side which gives you 12...thne you need to get that variable by itself by dividing 12 on both sides and x will then equal 1. The other problem is the same you want to free up the variable so divide -1/6 by -3/8 and that is your solution for x

For the second one...4x+5>3 i got x= - 1/2

4x + 5 > 3

Change the > to an = sign for now it'll make things a lot easier:
4x + 5 = 3

Now we are going to get the x by itself by first subtracting 5 from both sides:
4x = -2

Now we divide both sides by 4:
x= -2/4

Simplify:
x= -1/2

Now we worry about the sign again; since we didn't multiply or divide by a negative number it stays the same as it was originally:

Answer: x > -1/2

Hope that was helpful. :)

1st Problem
12x+2_<14
12x_<12
x_<1

2nd problem
3/8_<-1/6x
3/8 / 1/6 _< -x
3/8 x 6 _< -x
18/8_<-x
Now be careful coz u have a negative integer 1 infront of x
so when ever you multiply by negative integer the sign of range changes.so it will change from _< to >_
then the answer will be
-18/8 >_X

12x + 2 < 14
12x < 12
x<(or equal to) 1

3/8 < -1/6x
divide each side by -1/6
