I know this is 7 years ago, and you probably won't see this, but I just gotta say thank you. I'm a female that isn't, well, feminine. Never have been. I did force myself to get my hair done and wear make-up in my teens, but that ended up not working out for me so I am back to my disgusting androgynous self. I have wasted many hours of the day dreaming about marriage, but after reading this post, I want to be single for the rest of my life. Thank you. And this isn't a joke by the way, I just realised that there is no point in getting married if my partner is going to view me as a woman who should conform to visual standards rather than a human being. So thank you.

I was a Tomboy when I was a kid, and people would describe me as bold, independent, into nature and caring. Most likely, when they become adults they will still have that in them, but I'm sure all of us girl-out a little bit.

lol. I used to be a tomboy. It drove my mother completely out of her mind. She is a very girlie girl... But then her prayers have been answered: I became a model in my youth. It completely changed me: I discovered makeup, clothing's and shoes... WOW! On the outside I am one of the most feminine women you will ever see, but on the inside I am still a tomboy. I am very athletic, most of my friends are men and I am one of the most competitive people you will ever meet... I also am a doting mother of a 5yo girl and a loving wife for these past 17 years. I have endless amount of energy and a curious mind, which resulted in breathtaking career and a great education.
I am used to hard work, to setting up huge goals and achieving them one after another... I dared to dream big, and as a result am living my dream...

I was a tomboy, but now am married with kids. But I am certainly low-maintainance, more into the life of the mind than into clothes or makeup.

i was a tomboy...and thankfully! i'm still very athletic and work out to maintain my body...i get along with all the guys and i find sundays and mondays in the fall to be weekly holidays if my team is playing. i'm low maintenance, i don't take long to get ready, i never beat up my skin and my hair with make up and crazy coloring and straightening when i was younger, so i have all of the natural things going for me. i'm extremely independent, i'm never intimidated by the guys, especially in the work place. my boyfriend and i can spend 24 hours of the day together and never get sick of eachother because we have more to talk about since we have similar interests.
By looking at me, you wouldn't say tomboy...but put me in any type of sports/athletic/competitive situation, and i can hang with the best of em :)

Either they continue to be tomboys or they become more feminine. I think it's safe to say they turn into women who know about sports.

i can answer that for you because i was a tomboy and so is my daughter. we arent any different than any other woman. we just dont act dainty, i am still kind of like a tomboy. i dont really like wearing dresses or wear 10 pounds of make up. does that answer you question?
