I have started an import/export business dealing with South African art. (original canvas paintings, candles, pillows etc...) How do I go about getting stores like Pier1 Imports, World Market, West Elm, department stores and museums interested in buying them(wholesale)? I have a small following because I do alot of exhibits but I'd like to hit up stores now.

Thanks everyone.

You have to pitch their purchasing and procurement departments. But you also need to have good quality, well structure pricing and able to supply quantities.

boutiques and small local stores are the easiest to deal with. All large chains have buyers at their corporate headquarters that you will have to deal with.
