Witch craft is simply use of the creative visualization powers we all have as humans. It's the belief that makes the spell will work, powered by the mind/emotions of the user.

Be careful using these powers for personal gain though or to interrupt the free will of others. Karma will truly come back to you for doing so.

As I am trying to put this all together, I hope to bring about an understanding that Witchcraft, like any religion, has undergone it's changes throughout the centuries. It is my personal feeling, however, that the religion of Witchcraft has undergone far fewer changes than any other in history.

Witchcraft, sorcery, magic, whatever can only begin to find its roots when we go back as far as Mesopotamia. With their deities for all types of disasters, such as Utug - the Dweller of the Desert waiting to take you away if you wandered to far, and Telal - the Bull Demon, Alal - the destroyer, Namtar Pestilence, Idpa - fever, and Maskim - the snaresetter; the days f superstitution were well underway.

It was believed that the pharaohs, kings, etc. all imbued some power of the gods, and even the slightest movement they made would cause an action to occur. It was believed that a picture, or statue also carried the spirit of the person. This is one of the reasons that they were carried from place to place, and also explains why you see so many pictures and statues of these persons with their hands straight to their sides.

Witchcraft as sorcery has existed since humans first banded together in groups. Prehistoric art depicts magical rites to ensure successful hunting. Western beliefs about witchcraft as sorcery grew out of the mythologies and folklore of ancient peoples, especially the Greeks and Romans. Roman law made distinctions between good magic and harmful magic, and harmful magic was punishable by law. When Christianity began to spread, the distinctions vanished. Witchcraft came to be linked with worship of the Devil.

Middle Ages to the 1700's. In Europe, beginning in about the A.D. 700's, witchcraft was increasingly associated with heresy (rejection of church teachings). The Christian church began a long campaign to stamp out heresy. Beginning in the 1000's, religious leaders sentenced heretics to death by burning.

The Inquisition, which began about 1230, was an effort by the church to seek out and punish heretics and force them to change their beliefs. Eventually, the secular (nonreligious) courts as well as all Christian churches were involved in the persecution of witches. Especially after the 1500's, most people accused of witchcraft came to trial in secular courts. They were charged with human sacrifice and with worshiping the Devil in horrible rites.

Historians doubt that worship of the Devil was ever widespread, if indeed it even took place. But stories about it created a mood of fear and anxiety.

particular i've got faith in Witchcraft. the subject is that maximum folk don't comprehend what genuine Witchcraft is or has continually been. maximum folk assume outcomes like they see on television or study in fictional books... or assume all this devil and demon stuff the Christians have invented. certainty is, genuine Witchcraft has by no potential been like that. Witchcraft does not bypass against the guidelines of physics. it can't do each and every thing for you on the twitch of a nostril. it rather is no longer on the spot gratification. it can't do your paintings for you, even yet it would help do your paintings. genuine Witchcraft is meditating on your targets after which working for them. genuine Witchcraft is making an organic tea for a sore throat, or meditating on an orange candle to bypass a attempt, or burning lavender to loosen up your self on the top of an prolonged day or burning rosemary to motivate your self to get your projects performed.

An ethical witch would never reveal their work just to impress someone. And the Discovery Channel is not the best source of information. Magic is most often used to help improve ourselves and the lives of those around us.

I'm Pagan.

I don't believe in the supernatural definition of witchcraft or magic. That would be silly. No one has ever broken the laws of nature with a mumbled incantation...

However, I do believe in internal change through psychology, self hypnosis, positive reinforcement and symbolism. That is magic. It's natural, takes effort and practice and can change lives.

Make Rain Spell:

Several tear drops
1 vial sacred water
fountain water

Add salt and water to a teapot and cast the spell by saying:

Clouds of thunder, shafts of light. Come and sup with me tonight. Waters three I have for tea. Brew a tempest now for me!

I was sitting at a Christian funeral today (rest his soul) and they had a young woman as a soloist. She was singing a lovely song, however I could tell she was holding back. And all I could think to myself was, "Girl, I put more passion into my karaoke performances, and you are sitting here holding back on your God-given talent? Shame what a man's religion does to the feminine psyche..." And I sent thought-waves to her and asked the Goddess to help her belt it out, to not hold back. And what happened, you ask? She grew more confident and began to sing the song the way it was supposed to sound. Was it all me? Can't tell you for sure. Is it that she just became more comfortable and suddenly put some soul into it? Possibly. Do I think that my prayer for her helped her sing better? Absolutely. I don't believe in coincidence.
