It's a tag team event. Good cop bad cop. Don't think for a second it's not orchestrated.
What day is it? Pelosi is against the 2013 timetable laid out by candidates. The Speaker went so far as to say on TV she spoke with the Iraq President personally and he agrees. US should be out by the end of 2008. Who died and made her boss. The Syria thing? Didn't Turkey mess with them too over the years? For HRC to continue to alter her stance she looks weak to other Nation leaders. All waiting to take advantage of the opportunity.
In my opinion. Both out of control. Explosive and un befitting to represent a book club let alone National Policy.
After 90 yrs, come on. But read into the positioning that Turkey is working here. She cut off the Brits already over the same thing. Bill let it pass. He never made waves. Bomb Iraq, who me... oh you mean the Persian Gulf War... Iraq #1???

Turkey did not exist at the time of the genocide.
The nation of Turkey was formed after a revolution in the 1920's. The genocide was by the Ottoman Empire, the government over thrown by revolutionaries who then established the nation of Turkey.
Anyone who voted for this resolution is ignorant of the facts. Democrats who voted for this resolution are ignorant of the facts and are hypocrites who should hold themselves accountable for ethnic atrocities like the political support of slavery.

Hillary is correct. It is completely ridciulous to risk our relationship with Turkey over something that happened 90 years ago. It's so absurd and has such far reaching implications that it is almost criminally stupid.
If we ever hope to achieve anything in Iraq, it is imperative that Turkey be on board. Insulting them can only guarantee a failure of support when we need them the most.
But don't try to play the game of just blaming Pelosi. W is right there with her.
The theater of the absurd continues to rule this nation.

they had no need to drag up history and try to offend a nation that was not even that nation when it happened. What would the US think if Turkey condemned us for the American Indian genocides.
We just look for any chance to piss of or interfere with every nation we can think of

This is up right now because the libs in the house (Pelosi) think it might throw Turkey over the top and cause them to oppose our efforts in Iraq - another nail in Bush's Iraqi coffin to her. Few can make that connect but this is all about Iraq and the democrats in the house securing defeat before Bush leaves office.

Seems like a plan to undermine our military since we are getting our supplies and fresh water to our troops thru Turkey as we speak.
