I wouldn't put all the blame on 1 party, it is a natural tendency of capitalism and the laws that both our parties have passed
If there were laws that cap an individuals networth to 100 million or a billion dollars, a more balanced distribution of wealth would result,. Some folks would fear or say that this would reduce productivity, because the super rich would then have no incentive, but i think that is just crap.
i don't know how anyone can justify why they need or should have more than a billion dollars.
i suspect many of the folks saying negative things about the lower 50%, have friends or relatives in that lower 50% who are not all that lazy

Why do the Top 1% employ more people than the bottom 50%?
Why do the Top 1% pay a higher tax rate than the bottom 50%?
Why do people think the solution to poverty is to take money away from other people?
There will always be a bottom. There will alway be someone richer.
The poor in America are not truly poor when compared to the rest of the world.

The problem is not that there is a bottom, the problem is when the bottom is always at the bottom, generation after generation, with no real opportunity for self-improvement and progression, victims of a vicious cycle of accelerating polarisation between the haves and the have-nots.

I just checked out the Laffer curve site. Very informative. In answer to your question. The top 1% are enjoying the present, not thinking about how crappy things will be for them in the future.

Part of it is because what the bottom 50% spend their money on. When people buy music, movies, tickets to sporting events, et cetera, they are making a direct decision to enrich the rich. Actors, Recording Artists, Sports Pros-- these are the rich, and they are rich because we make them rich.

The top one percent are very intelligent. Some estimate that their IQs are in the 500-1200 range.
They work very hard to earn their pay and it's unfair that exceptional people have to pay taxes.
Are you a socialist or something?

After a certain point of disposable cash investments start making you more money than you could earn working. You really can make more money with money than you can working to earn it.

excellence is not encouraged in america
do these people contribute to the good of america? or to themselves?
excellence should be encouraged in philosophy and science,,,not greed.....

I'm told some day the rich will "trickle down" on me and you. Some day they will have so much money they will lose interest with more money, and then it will be our chance
