Will Guliani's 2 divorces and cheating on his last wife in public while still Mayor of NYC hurt his chances? Would Mitt Romney have a better chance or are the Democrats a shoe in?

No one can go toe to toe with Obama, not even Rodham, and the Republicans no matter the candidate as well can go toe to toe with him. I would love to see a real debate, that everyone can see this live and in color. Fascinating.

Guliani is looking like a strong candidate in the polls and in the debates. I think there will be a problem in that social conservatives will not be inclined to vote for him and that may hurt him in the primaries and in a general election.

The problem with all of the Republican candidates except Ron Paul (who won't win the nomination) is that they are too tied to the policies of the Bush Administration and the war in Iraq and the Bush Administration and the war are not very popular. So, I think it will be an uphill battle for any Republican candidate unless they can significantly break from Bush and the war.

Any democrat will have the advantage as being seen as representing change and change is what most people are interested in right now. I think the Dems would be smarter to go with someone other than Hillary since she is the only candidate who might get the Republicans to turn out to vote en masse and to contribute financially.

She has very high negative ratings, although she is leading in the polls among Dems. Either Obama or Edwards or one of the other Dems would probably be a stronger candidate since it would not be such a rallying cry for conservative Republicans, who otherwise would probably just sit out this election. On the other hand, Hillary has Bill's old supporters on her side, who want a rerun of the 90s, so she has some very solid support and has run a good campaign so far.

Basically, this election won't be a landslide, but Bush has essentially handed it to the Dems by continuing with unpopular policies. The Dems could conceivably shoot themselves in the foot, but it is theirs to lose. The only way for a Republican to win is for the Dems to lose it by doing something stupid, because the Republicans candidates have already miscalculated by tying themselves to unpopular Bush policies and won't be able to backtrack for the general election. People want change and the Dems represent that change.

I think that he could beat Hillary, too many Americans are becoming more aware of her Socialist agenda. As far as Giuliani versus Obama, I think Rudy would lose. Mitt Romney has a pretty good chance of swinging the Independent and some Democrat voters because of his experience in instituting a successfull health care program. But his biggest downfall is the fact that he's Mormon; the religious right has already said that they would vote for an Independent if he was the nominee because of his religion. So, if Romney is the nominee and the right truly votes for what they say they will, then a Democrat will be President. I think that it mostly depends on who is the Democratic nominee.

Can he win the nomination? Probably can and probably will.

Can he beat Hillary or Obama? If Hillary wins the nomination I don't think Rudi could beat her. While I don't think Obama has any chance of winning the nomination, if he did, I think the Republicans chance of victory in 08 would be dramatically improved.

Oh i choose Obama to win! in spite of the shown fact that, i don't know if he gets sufficient help. McCain can not win no matter who the Democratic nominee is; that's is the two impossible and unbelievable.

I think he could easily beat no-experience Obama. If he went up against Hillary, both candidates have had their marital problems, plus Republicans would have a pro-Choice Democrat or Republican to choose from and most likely they'd choose the Republican. Also, those Dems that can't stand Hillary might vote for a pro-choice Republican.

I think he's the perfect Republican to run.
(I hope the Dems keep banking on that "religious right" theory. LOL)

YES! The socialist Dems have polarized themselves too far for the average American. They would be a disaster!

Mitt has a better chance, Rudy can't beat Hillary that is his line to confuse people. Look at the polls from several sources...including Foxnews...

I think a retarded Guatemalan child would beat hillary and obama. Rudy isnt going to get the rep. nomination. Hes too scandalous. Hillary and obama have no chance. One is a woman and one is a black muslim. No matter how liberal you think this country is, its not THAT liberal.

Gulliani, doesn't have the ultra-conservative Christian Right on his side. This alone will tank him against Obama. As for Hillary, all she would have to do is denounce abortion or play the strong wife who was betrayed by her husband and that will play against Gulliani.
