I gave birth October 1st and the discharge is getting lighter and the smell too but it was strong 2 days ago why?
Also How long does this discharge last?

Usually a strong odor is a sign of an infection. Discharge can last a while, but it shouldn't smell. I would make a phone call to your health care provider. Good luck.

The discharge should almost be over, just remember if it is really bad smelling later.. and you have a fever, it could be a sign of infection... I had the doctors leave packing up in me once... bad scence but it does happen..

Not sure to be honest about the smell, mention it to midwife or doctor, the discharge will start to get less again every woman is different.

Its the hormones. I didnt start smelling "normal" until after my first period. Maybe longer. That was like... two months ago?

I have an 8 month old.

Not to long about a couple weeks, or a week depending on your body.
