When you drive up to the gas station
and there's (4) pumps to choose from
REG, PLUS, SUPER, and Diesel
is the plus and super considered UNLEADED?
[there wasn't a label that said so, however all stations here had the same thing]
So I asked some guy and he said yes [he was foreign but spoke English, so I trusted he was right and put 18$ in the tank]
Now I'm at home stranded because the "battery light" came on this car [my husbands]
PLEASE HELP
[and please no mean answers, I was just in an accident because of a deer at night, don't need sympathy just no sarcastic answers I'm gonna get yelled at as it is I bet and don't know how to resolve this b4 he gets home, + I have to take a taxi to my other job :-(
thanks

so cute....the plus is just a higher grade than regular and some newer cars have to run on the super which is one step up from that even. There are only two types of gas, unledded and diesel. I guess we have propane, and bio-diesel now, but they are not at to many pumps out there.

Any gas you put into a car, except diesel, is fine.
You should not worry too much about the gas you put in the car.
The battery light has nothing to do with the gas. But, there may be a problem with the battery because of the accident.
Hope this helps.

Rough day huh?
They are ALL unleaded in the USA.
They are different grades of gas.
Diesel is not the same as GAS. Don't put it in your car.
Unless of coarse you have a diesel engine.
Most "normal" cars and trucks run just fine on regular unleaded.

All gas is unleaded. Has been for quite some time. It still has nothing to do with your battery light. That's a different problem all by itself,

usually the unleaded petrol uis on the same pump as the regular petrol the difference is that the unleaded is colored green. As for the petrol youve already put in it just wants draining off and then filling with unleaded. there is a solution you can put in the engine to prevent seizure just ask at thew garage they should be able to advise you

All gasoline's are considered unleaded now. With the battery light you even need a new battery, or the alternator.

Leaded gas is illegal to sell in the US. REG PLUS SUPER are all unleaded. Diesel is a different kind of fuel and will not run in a car not designed for it, you can tell by your fuel cap being yellow and it will say on your fuel door and fuel gage diesel only.
Your battery light is in all probability unrelated to your choice of fuel.

all gas sold now is unleaded, the gas is not the problem with the battery. the battery probably just is bad or there is a problem with the alternator. Don't worry shouldn't be your fault

there's no commonly used vs unleaded gasoline now. All gasoline is unleaded. The form next to the form basically indicated the standard of the gasoline. additionally, the gasoline might have not got any impact on the battery indicator easy. That easy got here directly to warn you to a project with the battery. bypass outdoors, pop the hood, and wiggle the cables related to the battery. in the event that they flow, they won't be making a sturdy connection, which will study as a battery project. basically take wrench and tighten the bolts on those cables.

I dont see why the gas made the battery light come on it sounds like your alternator has gone bad even tho gas is differant I sometimes put plus in my regular tank it never hurt it but I would not put it in every day.
