Curious - Conservatism promote personal responsibility and the freedom to succeed. What one does with that is up to the individual.

Class envy, hatred and resentment of wealth are the main ideology of the liberals. Some mistakenly believe they are some sort of Robin Hood taking from the rich and giving to the poor. But that is not what Robin Hood did. Robin Hood took from the tax collectors, the government and returned the tax money to the people who earned it.
It is the Conservatives that are the Robin Hoods of America, now adays. Taking the confiscatory taxes back from the government and returning them to the taxed. At no time did Robin Hood take money from the people who earned it and give it to people who did not.

Liberalism promotes envy.
This is because they have this flaw in their thought about economy called "zero sum economics". They think that if someone has something, someone else has to go without. They see everything in haves and have nots.
The modern computer age signalled the death of zero sum economics. With computers and other inventions, you can literally create wealth out of ideas, without taking away others resources.
The liberals have not quite grasped this yet and that it also shows the flaws in their thinking and the death knell of their party.
You can have what you want, and I can have what I want without taking away from you - this is at the heart of matter.
President Bush first said in a speach that zero sum economics no longer exists. Long before that, my sister had developed this idea along with some of her colleagues and had told me about this idea and had told many key Republicans.
But you are right, envy is at the heart of liberals and freedom is at the heart of conservativism.

Neither Promotes it and it's not a liberal or conservative trait.
Envy is an emotional trait that you can not control based on political views.
It's like saying who promotes, anger, laughter, so on and on.
I do know where you are trying to go with this question. However your reasoning is flawed.

Liberal mindset is to be the Robin Hood of man. Take from the "rich" and give to anyone they deem due.
The beauty of the USA is that the world is your oyster and realistically you can shoot for the moon, yet there are people who think that they can squander away all of someones hard work and earnings because they have more than someone with less drive....Wrong.........

easy, the left desires angst to stay to tell the story. they have not got any techniques that are well worth sharing so as that they run on scare methods that the different guy is the worst element ever. regrettably, human beings purchase into it.

I wouldn't call it envy. I don't think any liberals would like to take your SUV or bass boat - they would like to keep you from having them though.
