If that happened, I would tell the one who lied to you when he said you meant the world to him, to take that one who came after you left & go away with her & leave you to get your life in order. When I caught my ex-wife in my bed with a friend of mine, I told him & her to go away together & leave me to sort out the rest of my life. Turns out he didn't want her permanently, just for an affair. But, I still told my ex-wife that we were done, but I didn't throw her out. After a while, she just left.

I would be devastated. I would feel let down and disappointed. However I would also realize that everything this person said was a lie. Therefore they are not even worth a second thought or a shedded tear.

Some people only tell you want you want to hear. Obviously you dealt with one of those. I wouldnt care because I most likely would not have believed them when they said it.
