I got an mp3 player and I thought I could download songs from Itunes and they would appear in my media player for windows. I don't know how to get them to windows media player so I can sync them to my mp3 player (which is not an ipod).

iTunes uses its own music format that is not audio nor MP3.

Burn them to a CD in audio format, then rip the tracks on the CD to MP3s.

iTunes customer service can help you with how to burn the CDs.

Generally, you dont even need to use windows media player, you can just drag files from your itunes media folder and drop them into your external device. So here is what you do...
plug the mp3 player into your computer. If you have a pc, go into 'my computer' and there will be an external drive listed. if you have a mac it should just pop up on the desktop. The next thing you do is find the folder where you are storing your music. from the sound of things this will be in program files, in the itunes folder there will be a music folder. from there with the two open you just have to select the files from your itunes you want and drop them into your mp3 player. its kind of hard to describe this stuff not knowing your level of experience, but i think that doing it is actually easier than using itunes.

in case you have the latest residing house windows Media participant, it is going to locate the song in you pc by utilising itself. yet once you do no longer, you may desire to locate the folder the place the song is stored and drag and drop, or import out of iTunes in case you don't comprehend the place it particularly is, and merely drag and drop that folder in WMP.
