My motto is, if you always tell the truth, you never have to change your story. If I need to tell someone something( like my wife), emotions or nor, I just flat out tell her the truth of things, as I see them, then she knows exactly where I stand. It doesn't always solve the issue, but at least I have been open & honest with her as to how she makes me feel when she says or does certain things. It doesn't bottle up inside that way either.

Its hard to tell the whole truth when you know it will hurt someone, at least for me anyway. But if you never say the whole truth, your only digging a bigger hole.

well, i don't have a problem speaking the truth. but my friends have trouble in trying to make me shut up lol.
