NOT the depo shot, its horrible! MANY women suffer horrid side affects and health issues because of the shot.

I've been on both. I LOVED the shot because it was so simple. Just a small poke once every 3 months and I didn't have to worry about my period at all. But! it came with some nasty side effects for me. The mood swings were terrible. I broke out like i've NEVER broke out in my life. I couldn't keep my skin under control no matter what. And I gained 30 lbs while on it. NEVER fun.

The pill has been great. I'm on the one now that you only get your period once every 3 months, and I'm loving it. It's more difficult becuase you need to remember to take it at the EXACT same time every day, but I just have a little alarm set to remind me each night. Plus. Some pills even help clear up bad skin.

neither :-) but birth control pills if I had to choose....the depo shot....what can I say....the hormones in it are horrible....I was a rageing (sp?) ***** when it was time for my next shot...my husband could tell when it was time for another shot. A friend of mine who was on depo considered ending her marriage and was very emotional while on depo. I would not recommend it!

I can't take the pill so I'm on the shot and love it. One little shot every 3 months, no remembering to take something everyday, no periods and the troubles with that (cramps, bloating, etc).

both have their side effects... but if i had to choose i would pick the pill. i have heard on many instances that the depo shot makes you infertille. i wouldn't take that risk personally....good luck with that safe sex :)
