The rival factions are talking and have a truce, they're joining together to defeat Al Qaeda. This will hurt the democrats, will they try to make us lose?

We’ve been “making progress” in Iraq for the last few years, and if it were left up to neocons, we would be “making progress” in Iraq for decades to come.

Just because the "rival factions" are talking about joining up against a common enemy, DOESN'T mean that (your words) RIVAL FACTIONS??????? are going to be best buds afterwards. Quit being so naive. If all Americans and Al Qaeda disappeared tomorrow, there would STILL be at least three substantial groups, who DON'T LIKE EACH OTHER....still in Iraq...

I don't where you are getting your information. My daughter is stationed at Camp Victory and the terrorists attacked it a couple of days ago. I'm still waiting to from her to see if she is ok. There won't be any peace while they're fighting over religion. P.S. I already know that my daughter enlisted and it's her fault for being in Iraq, but people listen to Bush who paints a rosy picture of Iraq. The MSM goes along with what Bush says especially Fox News. Ask a soldier and you get a different answer.

Like so many you are so full of misinformation it is frightening. Win? We didn't go there to win but to invade and occupy. This was done to give the U.S. strategic military positioning in the Middle East. The fighting is not Al Qaeda but it is a civil war. Please stop spreading misinformation and propaganda. It does nothing to help the situation.

You are very ignorant try reading some independent news sources or just have a look at some history books (not ones for school children) then applying what you have learnt to modern times.

And by the way you have already won in Iraq and by you I don't mean you I mean the rich people who own you and have made a load of money and will continue to do so.

Win? Please define win. I have yet to hear a definition of it with regard to that fiasco in Iraq. Once we define it than I will know whether to cheer or not. If we are so close to winning and we do, let's say by Christmas does that mean we can bring the troops home by Spring?

Get real the only reason the rival factions are talking is because they know we'll be re-deploying our troops sooner or later! So they know they have to do something before we do!

the Democrats are going to have to fix Iraq and win the war on terror because bush and his republican friends don't have a clue when it comes to winning wars

Sad to say, but yes I think there are those libs who definitely want to see the US lose. But with the Grace of God we will win this war against Islamo Fascist Terrorism.

I'm sorry sweety but you are completely clueless. It's about Shiites and Sunnis not al queda. Iraq will end in a blood bath of magnificent proportions before anything is resolved. Really, get a clue or stop talking.
