Sure...of course with it, society is reaching a level of decadence similar to Rome just before it's fall. A lack of values is being forced on people with values. Families are mocked, as are religons, by those claiming that they have the right to do so. Racial tensions haven't eased a bit, and children are completely out of control. But hey, it's all about the right to live whatever lifestyle you want, right?

I think that the acceptance of social liberalism is an actual sign of our times of the have and have nots. I think most people do not subscribe to the idea of social liberalism however when you don't have any money and you don't have any medical insurance and you don't have any housing and you don't have a job and you don't have any prospect of protecting yourself or your family AND you see the rich getting richer and living way high off the old Texas hog then you have to hang your hat on something that might get you through your problems.

There really isn't widespread acceptance of it?? I believe that societies should want the best for all of their people without bias of race, social class or disabilities. A strong society is one who cares about it's people and their conditions, collectively. Hate has become too prevailant in our society and "everyone for themself" ideology will be our demise. No one wants to see how much we are all the same, we look at differences and this creates hate where there should be respect. Many people want to align themselves with certain political parties, all of which are not doing our country good service, but are taking advantage of us and lining their pockets. All the propaganda we are inundated with everyday is just that, we need to get back to thinking for ourselves and seeing things for what they are, not what we are told things are. People need to realize that maybe today they are not effected by unfortunate events or issues that afflict someone else but tomorrow they just might be, so they would be best to help one another out in times of strife.

Yes! Do you prefer the days of Jim Crow or where women can only work in the home? Or, where there is so much poverty in this country that you go to any inner city area or poor rural areas of the country that you see babies and kids with bloated bellies because of malnutrition. We saw that during the before the 60's and it ended because of JFK's and LBJ's civil rights bills. I know I sure don't want those days back where I see those kinds of things in my country again. Social Liberalism has worked in this country. We have some problems that are too numerous to mention here but basically those social reforms have worked well in this country.

it is a great thing, our dumb kinds no longer feel bad about being dumb, and at the same time their aim has improved, as well as their knife handling skills, More and more they aren't burdened with the stress of having 2 parents to deal with
where our children were over stressed trying to do good in schools in the past, this is no longer a problem as they have the security and peace of mind growing up knowing that the government is going to make sure they will be paid even if they cant get a job,

let's see...before liberalism got a good foothold, the problems in the classroom were talking and chewing gum. The really bad kids snuck a smoke behind the gym.

Now? Kids are having sex at 12, experimenting with drugs, and blowing other student's brains out.

VD went through the roof. Unwed mothers went through the roof. Broken families went through the roof. Academic achievement in this country went down into the gutter.

Liberalism is a pox on every society it infects. And it won't go away until that society is completely dead.

Yes... It allowed civil rights to happen for one.

Both liberalism and conservatism are necessary... a balance is ideal for both point of views. That's why it is so deisheartening that both libs and cons are spiteful and hateful to each other today.

Yes. I think it's the natural result of people realizing that Christianity is a false religion. It has decreased suffering in the world, and will continue to do so. Now if we can just get the Islamic world and America to do the same....

What are you talking about? What do you mean exactly?

I'm sure you don't know yourself.

The World is getting more fascist and dominated by ruthless capitalism so even if you did know what you were saying it would be a load of balls.
