A healthy male with a good hormone balance is still into sex much later than mid-40s. I would go get a blood test to find out your testosterone levels and any other underlying causes to your lack of sex drive.

I am so sick and tired of these uninformed idiots shamelessly promoting Mr Manpower as a cure all for every male sexual problem. The website it a crock of marketing BullS.
Go to your Doctor and get a prescription for testosterone. Testosterone aka "male hormone replacement therapy" is nothing short of a miracle for middle aged men. Testosterone creams, gels and patches are applied daily and are actually absorbed through the skin. These topical applications are much more expensive than intramuscular injection, plus injectable testosterone is only around $108 per 10ml vial or 200mg testosterone/ml. You inject 1ml it in your glute once every 10 to 14 days. One vial can last 3, 4 months.
Here are the physical changes a male will experience approxiamately 5 days after the first administration. Improved mood, improved overall sense of wellbeing, improved sleep, increased energy. dramatcially increased sexual interest and drive, frequent erections, fat loss and increased muscle mass.
I recommend you supplement your testosterone administration with both moderate aerobic and weight training. I would also increase my intake of protein....up to but not exceeding 1gram per lb of bodyweight.
Try it dude. Once you do, you notice that the sky is bluer, the grass is greener, you're happy alot more and you think of sex again..just like you used to back in your teens and early 20's.

I'm guessing its something like once you've been without it for a while it loses its importance in your mind. Ummm boost your energy level and date and have fun and once you feel the desire come back you will remember what you are missing. But remember you are also at a possibly more mature stage in your life and maybe you want a relationship or some care and love More than you want the physical aspects as the most important part. Maybe its time for a relationship?

There are various natural methods of increasing your testosterone/sex drive. Leafy vegetables and nuts increase your testosterone, and so does some exposure to sunlight. Check out Mistermanpower.com, its got a full guide on this that I've been following, and my testosterone has gone up, and so has my sex drive. Feel free to email me if you got any questions
