Oh hell yeah... I'd like to be her when I grow up. She tells people what she thinks straight up, neat, even though she's been criticized as "strident and eccentric" for it.

Not to mention that her work can change lives, or at least influence them greatly. What better reason to be a winner of the Nobel Prize?

You don't vote for Nobels.

But she has been an interesting and thought-provoking author for more than 50 years. Her science-fiction output, particularly the Canopus in Argos series, explored some fascinating philosophical themes.
