Ouch...luckily, the same thing happened to my mom. THere's not much you can do here but go into the store you bought it from, explain that they said it was free, and beg them to take the charges off. It worked for my mom, but I can't promise it will for you since it's $4,000 but maybe they'll feel bed for you since you're just a kid. The worst they can do is say no, and the best they can do is take off all the charges so you NEED to go talk to them. Good Luck!!

The GIANT bills are because people take their iPhone out of the United States and they use them. This is called ROAMING and the rates are EXPENSIVE. If you take an iPhone out of the United States, turn data roaming OFF. Living inside the United States? You won't see any weird bill like this.

How did you get a phone in the first place if your 14? I guess its in your mom or dad account. You can call them and tell them what happen and ask if they would work with you but, they might just take a few hundred or 1000 off. Start saving up and get a job cutting grass and babysit a lot of kids. Good Luck

Best you can do is call them back & tell them that you were told it was free & didn't know you were getting charged until the bill came! They may take all or some of the charges off, but it's hard to say--each company is different. They may do nothing, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Too bad you didn't get the name of the person who told you it was free! Let t his be a good life lesson for you!:) Good luck!

wow that is going to be one hard lesson to learn. and I agree a 14 year old should not have an iphone. I'm sure your parents are going to be pissed. There is not much u can do though they may help out a little but it's not going to be much. But it's your parents to blame lol.

There is not much you can do unfortunately since it was your mistake, but you can try an emotional appeal to the customer services, or you better get a job caddying.

What's a 14 year old doing with an I phone? I think that's the first problem right there.

i don't think they ever told you that the internet was free because it's not you have to pay a data plan to be able to go online. tell your parents to call at&t and see what they could do
good luck.
