Of course but the question is not as simple as you have phrased it. What qualifies as "promotion"? Is a movie that merely depicts a man and a woman having sex outside of marriage promoting casual sex? Is a Cheech and Chong movie depicting absurd marijuana usage promoting drug usage? Where is the line between depicting life in all of its facets and gratuitous sex and drug use?
Also, I'm curious why you didn't include Hollywood violence in your question. Casual violence with no consequences (ala the Soprano's) has the potential to be more destructive than an episode of "Sex in the City".

Are you saying that Republicans don't like casual sex or just that they do not want people in Hollywood to have casual sex ??

I don't like the promotion of casual sex and drug-taking by any Americans...including Idahoans and Carolinians. But what consenting adults choose to do is really out of my hands.

The actors who are trying to make a living are usually, but not always liberal. But I can tell you that the producers and the business owners of Hollywood are pretty much Republican. It's about whatever sells in this country just like any other business. And, it's obvious alot of conservatives like buying sex.

I'm more tired of hearing about politicians doing it.

I'm more tired of of hearing about prosecutors setting up meetings with 12-year old girls.

I'm more tired of parents not raising their children and then blaming everyone else for their kids' problems.

Right. I don't. I hate the corporate-Republican owned businesses are pushing that stuff on our kids all the time. Stop Rupert Murdoch and his cohorts!
