I have a cat, Mr. Cuddles, and don't know whether or not I should get a fish. I'm thinking easy, like a betta or goldfish, nothing big or hard to try it out...any thoughts?

I have a couple of Betta at the store I work at, they are easy to take care of, feed once a day, and because they are on display, I clean out the bowls once a week, it takes about 5 minutes each, so no big deal, one to a bowl, about 1/2 gallon of water (2 litres) in each. They can't be put together, but they really don't mind. Seriously. They play a lot of solitaire, lol.

Get a betta they are cleaner than a goldfish.
I have had a red betta for 5 years now and he is huge. I may have to clean out his take once a month. With goldfish you have to clean their tank all the time because they crap more than they eat.....

I should be careful.. Is well known that cats like to eat fishes.
If you arent so much at home, then put them in separate rooms, if you want to keep both alive. Mr Cuddles could find its dinner so much easily...lol
BTW...Fishes are nice, but buy 2....1 will be bored.

Yes, fishes are nice and dont need so much care, but, as another answerers said, be aware with the cat

If you want a fish look no further ......I have just the one for you ! lol
Comes complete with attitude , bad manners & playful nature .....
We have a love/hate relationship .....this mongrel fish tries to wet me every time I feed it ! It waits until I have put the feed in then tries to splash me before I can get the lid back on ...
Sad fact is that so far the score is about even !
The only light on the horizon is that soon this dumb sucker is going to be big enough for someone or something to eat .....

yes, about that goldfish, our dear friend Aussie has one goldfish that he wants to get rid of (because everytime he comes to feed the fish it splashes water all over Aussie)...maybe he would give it to you

just get for your cat an octopus, its make him strong and have energy, and walk in the street like nobody else like him and he can get any cat he wants

i have one cat ,1 puppy,2 humsters,parrott...i love them all and they like each other...soi think u should get one
