Since you are a woman I suggest that you find a wealthy husband,a CEO type or entrepreneur. Otherwise, make sure you are already rich. Then go to law school but never work in private practice... just be a rich person with a law degree. Also, make sure you don't hold any real jobs... that will complicate matters and you need to make your views and ideals simple... simple enough to describe your ideals in 5 words or less, slogans work best and memorize them so you can say them over and over in public appearances.
If your a man, make sure your dad is rich... then follow the other steps.
Also don't go into the military... people will attack you from both parties for your service. No one wants that headache. Somehow they will twist your record into making you out to being a coward (even if you were decorated for combat service backed by your fellow soldiers) or AWOL throughout your time.

Well, if you want classes, there are community classes in civics and political science that are more than enough to get you started. However, the best thing that you can do is go to the monthly meetings of your local party, be it Democratic, Republican, Green, or Libertarian. Get active, let people know who you are. Then run for a lower office, like school board. Work your way, slowly, up the political ladder.

You start by reading the newspaper and by asking people questions. You need to engage yourself in political discussions and maintain your sense of reasoning and common sense. Don't argue with people and try your best to understand others and understand what is being said...and why. Be open minded, after all you are in the beginning stages as a learner and not an expert yet!
Part of the key is reading. Lots of reading and getting involved in the political process (even do volunteer work) and talking to a lot of people!
Yours,
Max

Learning how to explain your values, why you have those values and then keeping them no matter what. I do not believe there is any school that will teach you that these days.
