I saw a question about his short stories and thought I'd delve a bit deeper.

Also, I've gotten an email or two before about this - I'm Irish and we spell 'favourite' like this, with a 'u' - so it's not a misspelling, before anyone comments!

"The Girl That Loved Tom Gordon". I'm English and we spell 'favourite' like that too! Right now I'm studying Microsoft Office for a computer course and the American spelling and pronounciation can get quite annoying. Most of all is the guy in the audio who insists on pronouncing "data" as "datta" and sounding like he's trying to sell me something - he's such a smoothie!! I want to hit him sometimes: I really do! x

All his books are great - it is hard for me to choose one, but if I have to, I'd have to say "The Dead Zone" - but I loved "Carrie", "The Stand", "It", "Salem's Lot", "Bag of Bones", "Christine" and "From A Buick Eight". Personally, I think Stephen King is the U.S.A.'s greatest living writer and one of the greatest writers ever. He writes in a genre that, when he started, was not main stream and the writers of which were not typically famous - but his writing skill is so great that it transcends genre (I didn't even LIKE horror until I read Stephen King) and he is now a household name around the world.

I'm such a huge Stephen King. I loved the Shining (also happens to be my all time favorite horror movie), Pet Semetary, and Carrie. But my favortie book would have to be "Thinner" under the pen name Richard Bachman. I first read that book in the 8th grade and just loved it!

I'm not a big fan of Stephen King but one book and film sticks out to me and that would have to be The Green Mile it was a fantastic book and the film was pretty good also.

I liked The Stand, The Shining, Misery and the first one I ever read, Cujo(simply because that's what got me hooked on Stephen King).

The Green Mile and Rose Madder were probably my favorite books, I also like the collections of short stories such as nightmares and reamscapes and different seasons.
