I would "pass it on"-that is-give it as a small investment to someone struggling "up" from poverty.
In my town, I know several women who are buying beads and making jewelry, (earrings, necklaces, bracelets) from the small amount of money it takes to buy the supplies.
They make up their own original designs and sell the jewelry to friends.
I've seen some very nice work. Builds up self-esteem, gives the women hope, and a reason to continue at dead end jobs until they finish GED's or college or meet other goals.
They pass the original money that was given to them, onto someone else in need, as I did, expecting nothing in return. You don't know what a great feeling it is to make another human being feel full of hope.

With your $35 and my special shopper's discount I would probably go purchase a home carpet cleaner. My cat pee'd on the carpet and I think it needs to be cleaned with one of those machines. I might as well purchase it rather than spend $99 for someone else to clean the carpet each time this happens.

I will go to the Bank and change it into Euros because we have Euros in Spain. Dollars are for the United States.
