The first album I bought was, I think, Cheap Trick's self-titled album. However, the first albums I received were "K-TEL presents Space Rockin' '76" and "Sly and the Family Stone, Live in San Francisco" when my mom and dad gave me a turntable for Christmas one year. I think I was 10. My mom and dad listened to country, so it was totally surprising that they bought me something as cool and hip as Sly Stone. And, one of my older sisters gave me "Uncle Meat" by Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, and "High Voltage" by AC/DC the same Christmas. Needless to say, it was one of the best and rockingest Christmases I've ever had.

Weird Al, Off the Deep End. It was horrifically expensive even for 1993.

Credence Clearwater Revival. I don't remember the name of the album, but i think my favorite song was "Up on Cripple Creek".
