I knew that you and me had something that I knew ,we had in common. Iam clean and sober for so long that I can not say the year I put it in my past. Yes This is the greatest thing I have ever done .I was a hard core addict, for years drugs and alcohol. It like to have killed me.At lease 17 years sober.Thank god.I am so proud of you for this that you have done for your self. I help all comers that need a helping hand.I joke a lot because of the great sorrow that I have seen and I have done to myself.Tink you write me more often I need friends like you ,that shared the pain of all the tears ,that was shed for you and me.

Good on you. Bravo. You are also still humble enough to realize how narrowly you escaped. Magnifico. For me, "the one" is somewhat similar to yours. On February 2nd of 2008 it will have been 21 years since I put down my 20 year fascination with dancing the methamphetamine dance at the street monster's crystal ball.I was deep, deep, deep into the game.Every morning when I got up I'd shoot an 8 ball for breakfast, check to make sure my pistola was loaded, organize my stash, put some fresh rigs in with my scales, put on my cheap sunglasses and hit the streets running. Then I'd go on out to sell poison with a grin like a rictus on my hollow face. The demons had me enthralled. Since that day (2/02/ 1985) I've published 3 novels, bought and paid off my house, and saved not only my own life but several others. It was the love and compassion of my family that inspired me to make it through but initially it was the voice of God that spoke to me, amazed me, and dispelled the demons. More power to you Tink---and Kudos for keeping it in perspective.
