Rope fuses will work for all engines. You have to cut the end at a slight angle, not straight off, and don't mash it flat. It has to touch the fuel inside the engine to ensure ignition. In short very finnicky, and not safe. That is why electrical ignition systems are used for rocketry. They don't cost much and are much safer. Please invest in one, you will have a much better time and much better results.

Use should not be using 'Fuse' to ignite a model rocket motor at all. That's why there are electical ignitors supplied with the motor.
What are you going to do if you light the fuse, and then find a neighborhood kid running up to the rocket to see what is going on? Follow the safety code - ignite electrically.

In my distant past it seemed like that a fuse would work for any size Estes engine and seems like C's were the one most often used. Try inserting a match head in the hole with the fuse, that may solve the problem. We used to do that and never had a problem.
Good luck and hope this helps.

sure that's going to artwork, yet isn't suggested. suited selection is estes electric ignitors, next is 'cannon' fuse. I rather have additionally ignited them with 'residing house made shoestring' fuses some years in the past. (I now fly lots larger issues!!)
