There was a news story a couple years ago about researching being done regarding parasites and allergy relief. The concept behind the research is that many parasites lessen the body's inflammatory response, which can, in turn, lessen the inflammation associated with some allergies (and inflammatory diseases, like ulcerative colitis)

A "parasitic" relationship, however is defined by the fact that one organism benefits while the other is harmed. So, by that definition, parasites are not helpful. (Even though they might actually help someone with ulcerative colitis, it's not recommended that you go get worms!)

Maggots for cleaning wounds. Any though that decomposes its a great fertilizer for the soil.
