I used it about 6 weeks ago, and it ran like a champ. I always drain out any leftover gas, and run the engine until all the gas is used up in the lines. I have tried new gas and oil, and even a new spark plug. It just doesn't seem to be firing at all. What could be causing this?

In case you are wondering, the switch is in the "ON" position when I try to start the engine.

The compression is definitely there. Also, I took the spark plug off after a few pulls on the cord, and it was wet with fuel.

Are you sure that it is not getting spark? This can be tough to tell on some trimmers because getting a good ground while pulling the cord can be difficult. I use an in line spark tester that I got from harbor freight for $2.00. If there is no spark it could be a bad spark plug wire(wire grounding out in the case), the wire to the on off switch, or the ignition module. Does the engine have compression? Check by removing the spark plug and putting your thumb over the hole while pulling the rope. It should push your thumb off of the hole. Or with the plug in pull the starter cord slowly and feel for "hard" spots. If the rope pulls out smoothly without hard spots it could be that you don't have enough compression for the engine to run.
When you try to start it, is it getting fuel? After trying to start it, remove the plug and see if it has fuel on it. It should be wet. There is most likely a fuel filter in the gas tank on the end of one of the hoses. By pushing the primer bulb you should be able to see gas flowing through both lines.
