What about if you eventually want to change it back? Any restrictions?

You have to go to court to do it, because the Judge has to sign the judgment or decision. This then acts as your new birth certificate so you can change all of your legal documents.
People can't just go running around and changing their names when they want to. Even in a divorce decree, the woman usually has to make a request to change her name back to what it was before,

No restrictions that I know of. You should be able to get all the forms to do this at your county courthouse. I'm not sure what the fees range for it. Once it's done though that's when the fun begins. You will need to change your name on everything...

From what I have heard, it is not real hard to do. You need to get the papers and file in the courthouse. You will probably be asked why you want to change it. You cannot change it to avoid prosecution or for fraud. Changing back may raise some flags since you already changed it once.

I believe that you just have to start using the new name. But have to file some paper work so it is noted. Then if a question comes up in your new namw it will be referenced back to your previous name. Go the the driver license dept. and say you want a new license in your new name. they will know how.
