In Idaho, where do I get the forms? The courthouse? What all do I need? I want it to be Quick, Easy, and Cheap. this would be an uncontested divorce. We already know who gets what, so how do I get things going and do it ourselves?

You have to file at the courthouse and pay a filing fee and court fees. Make sure you document EVERYTHING, especially child support (if you're paying freely, put that in there and make sure she signs it - the court takes it out of my check because I didn't) and who gets what. Good luck!

As long as there are no children involved the court won't force you to go through counseling and mediation if the two of you don't want those services. You can pick up the forms needed for filing your divorce at the court house but you'll probably need some help filling them out. You and your soon to be ex-wife might might to make an appointment with an attorney just to get help with the paper work. Then file the forms, pay the court costs and show up for the scheduled court date.

Usually place like Office Depot or OfficeMax have the forms. They run about $30-40.00.. But you need to get the help of a Paralegal at least filling them out. Especially if there is kids and property.

Go to a local law school- they often provide free assistance (even filling out and filing the forms for you) so they get the experience.
