I know I would never marry a Browns fan, but I would never even date A Cowboys fan or a Bengals Fan. Probably not a Ravens fan or a Patriots fan either.

I am married to a wonderful woman who doesn't like football. I am pretty lucky because there are no Cowboys, Bengals, Browns, Patriots, or Ravens fans around here. If there are, they are smart enough to stay in the closet.
Steelers rule the AFC NORTH!!

As a chick, I often get my football preferences overlooked or brushed aside. I don't care what team anyone supports, it's the haters I hate. I would not be able to even date a KSU Wildcat hater, as this is MY TEAM!!! That really my only prereq...I Gotta luv my Cats!!!

I had it easy, my wifes team choices were all "I don't really care" when we first met. I've done a good job molding her into an astute and loyal Steelers fan over the years. But getting back to your question, I don't really "hate" any team (although I strongly dislike the Ravens, Bengals and Cowboys at times). So I guess if all the other stars alligned..I'd date a girl who rooted for anyone. Just as long as she wasn't annoying about it.

I am a Ravens fan and my boyfriend is a Steelers fans. The two teams havent played since we have been dating, so things have been relatively peacefull. There shouldnt be a problem you will only be at odds 3 times of the year at the most.As long as you have a strict no trash talking policy when the teams are not playing each other ,like we do everything will be fine.

I understand. I am a Steelers fan, too. But I think I could marry a Browns fan. However, the personality of most Cowboys, Patriots, and Bengals fans are a big turnoff.
I married a Steelers fan.
Some people really do need to lighten up.

Absolutely not. That is a deal breaker.
As a Bronco fan, it would require me to snuggle up next to a member of the dreaded Raider Nation.
Imagine trying to peel off the layers of spikes, rubber skulls, Darth Vader gear, and other ridiculous props.
As a Raider fan she's probably sure to have multiple tattoos, piercings, weapons, and a criminal record.
Dating a Raider fan would be a Commitment to Excrement.
I dated a Steeler fan once, and that was bad enough. I wanted to strangle her with her "terrible towel."

Hell Yes I mean if you like the same team watching the game on Sunday will get kinda boring at least when you two have rivals it makes the game that much more exciting when the two play you have a rival fan right there to shove it in their face when they lose. Also you should be ecstatic that you find a woman that is that interested in sports regardless of what team she likes. If she was smart and good looking then shoot you'd be brain dead not to.

People are going to think your question is crazy, but I understand. I don't really have an answer for you, but if you're serious about the girl, ask her to 'convert' and maybe there is something in the relationship that you can cave on for her.
I was a Cowboys fan and spent most of my life in Texas, then I moved to Virginia when I was 27. My husband was born in raised in the DC area and therefore a die-hard Redskin fan. He was seriously taken aback when he found out that I was a Cowboys fan and asked me not to tell his brothers or anyone in his family! I thought he was joking. He was serious. As our relationship got serious he said he wanted to get engaged but couldn't get past this 'Cowboy' thing. He said I needed to convert, as if it was a religion! He's a great guy and I decided that it wasn't going to be worth fighting over every Sunday for 4 months of every year - so I converted. I had to learn to sing "Hail to the Redskins" and do a bunch of silly stuff to show my new loyalty and commemorate my conversion. It's been 8 years and definitely worth it! We joke now that it was part of the marriage contract. This past Sunday, we happily cherished many lovely moments together in a sweet suite at FedEx field as the Redskins crushed Detroit.
It just would't have been the same if I was still a Dallas fan.

Why not? My wife is from Cleveland, hot and ready to go almost always, and I'm from PA (Lions fan though, go figure). I hate the Browns though, but we still have fun teasing each other about how they will lose (or in her case pray to win) I've met couples who were pittsburgh/cleveland couples, and they get along fine. There is no reason not to marry someone who is the opposite fan. If you do that you might as well marry you sister.

Hah i did marry a Browns fan, even worse, her alma mater is Ohio State. I wouldnt really consider them a major rival of the Chargers or the Trojans though. We will see how it goes next year when USC and OSU meet during the season.
