The formula for slope of a line is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) in here the given is:
x1=-2
y1=4.15
x2=1
y2=1.24

Therefore (1.24-4.15)/(1-(-2)) = slope of a line is -0.97

Slope = m =( y2-y1) / (x2 - x1)

m = (1.24 - 4.15) / [1 - (-2)]
m = -2.91 / 3
