Yes it is normal due to ypur level of prostaglandines going up.
You can heal this pain, when you have a painful period your level of hormones are disbalanced.
You can change your diet to balance it.
1.- take two full spoons of flaxseed everyday, I do it first thing in the mornning.
2.-Eat mango and banana they will help you with your period.
3.- Avoid meat chunk food and carbs with sugar like cokies and cakes all in that order, this foods make yur prostaglandines go up and get more flow.
4.- Take more vegetables and fruits, take yoghurt everyday to avoid infection from your vagina; have a healthier diet.
5.- Make excercise, this will help your circulatory system and you will have a better period.
6.- Eat tofu, it has progesterone that helps you balance the hormones in your body
Good luck! ;D

You don't say how old you are; Or how long has this been going on for.??????
So I will go out on a limb here. I did have the same thing for many years. First Diarrhoea, then during my period nothing, at the end i would be constipated. I was told they are classic symptoms of Endometriosis. Get checked my a Gyno. It is treatable. ;-)

Yes, this is very normal. This used to happen to me a lot. Your body changes so much with hormones that it can cause a lot of other symptoms. Don't worry--you will be fine. If you need to slow things down, take some Immodium. I used to have this really bad, but it has gotten better over the years.

It does happen because normally when you are near the bleeding period your uterus contracts ( same as when a pregnant woman starts to contract ) because of the hormones sets it to release the menses. the uterus is just in front of the rectum so it gets irritated with the contraction also making you feel like you have diarrhea.

Very normal, It happens to me every month along with every symptom in the book, and I'm very healthy. It's just something we have to tolerate and it can be really hard to deal with sometimes.

Yep, same here. I don't know if it's normal, it feels like my body is trying to cleanse itself completely. This didn't happen when I was on the pill..... DO you take the pill?
