Al Gore has to sell the ideas in a effective manner that the American public will buy. Being an arm chair environmentalist is pretty easy. Now give up things that mean something to us...

We can't have..Larger vehicles. High cost energy battery powered savers are the thing...or should private transportation be eliminated altogether?

Leave behind...Living space beyond a few hundred square feet per person...that's all we need.

Give up...Warm cozy homes in Jan... and cool houses in July.. Did you know as of last year a new central air unit will cost me about $700USD to $800USD MORE to buy because of higher standards? I own three and I am not rich. I will be choking on that cost.

No more...Privately owned free standing homes...very energy wasting they are.

Yes, Recreational travel limitations for our own good...Yep...tell Grandpa no more motor-home.

Choices, Money, Choices, Money, Choices

Al Gore has to sell these things to us...the public. He has to stand on the front porch of his quite large house in TN...with the SUV's in the driveway...in between jet-setting trips for speaking, and pleasure, and tell me I can't have any of those things. That's a tough sell.... Where do i sign. Are you ready to sign on? Let's join the club! Oh, by the way...one PC per extended family, those things are a blight on the environment.

I'm sure Al Gore is a nice guy, but someone has to show me they are willing do do things before telling me I have to. Arm chair critics are nothing more then cowards that try to have an impact without doing any thing themselves. When they are talking to the man or women that is supporting half the flipping free world with imports and out right aid through our hard earned tax money..., it's sort of stings

Why should the CIVILIZED world, which does not like us, but is happy to benefit from our generosity, be an arbiter of our behavior? When are we going to realize as a Nation, that we are the leader of the western world and quit trying to lower our standards to match less successful countries?
Just because some Norwegians believe that Al Gore is the savior of humanity, and therefore deserves the Peace Prize, doesn't mean that we have to agree. The beauty of this country is that we can make up our own minds and believe whatever we want.

Hm-mm i won't see Gore scuffling with 9/11 so he might have had to handle the autumn out of that. All of Gore's initiatives could have been sidetracked I nonetheless think of Gore might have liberated Afghanistan from the Taliban There could be a conflict interior the middle east nonetheless , basically distinctive than this one. Saddam Hussein could have been very emboldened by potential of 9/11 and by potential of Iran picking Ahmadinejad. in line with threat they might have restarted the conflict between themselves, in line with threat they might have attacked Israel alongside with Lebanon. So Gore could have been sending in troops to Israel to scrub out the Iranians/Iraqis/Lebanese or Al qudia might have made a efficient attack on the U. S. returned as a results of fact there could have been no Patriot Act to collect intelligence and thwart it So Gore might have went into the 2004 marketing campaign with a disaster interior the middle East and yet another (or 3) terrorist assaults interior the u . s . So McCain might have gained in 2004 There could have been an air marketing campaign solely for Iraq/Iran, like Kosovo lots of the U. S. financial equipment runs on housing that this cooling we see now might take place no matter who's president - so as that could desire to be comparable to it truly is now all in all, comparable to at the instant

We did. He got an Academy Award. You may have missed the part where a Nobel prize can only be awarded by the Nobel Committee. We can't give him a "Nobel Too" prize.

And putting the words "CIVILIZED" in all caps to get your lame point across is anything but. It's just bad prose.

Giving that dimwitted doofus a Nobel Prize just reflects the bias of the committee that granted the award. I realize that the Nobel Prize holds a great deal of prestige, but the decisions of any decision-making group are prone to prejudices, ideology and assumptions. And please don't draw the distinction between the "civilized" world and the "uncivilized" world. I know that you think you're being cute, but it just comes across arrogant, pretentious, and mildly racist.

So a handful of Scandinavian leftist elitists now = the entire civilized world?

The terrorist scumbag murderer Arafat also got the same award. Does that mean your "civilized" world agrees with the senseless murder of innocent Jews?

Hollywood is a bloated self serving organization, & now it appears the Noble prize is following in their footsteps.
Lesson learned; those who cry the loudest get rewarded!
