What feature do you wish were installed in public lavatories?

This may sound a bit crazy, but I wish they had more hooks on the toilet doors. I can never find enough places to hang my coat and bag. lol

i just wish they were cleaner in general! i HATE public bathrooms and i just cringe when i go in them.

I completely agree with the hooks. Sometimes bathrooms don't have the little toliet seat covers so I'd like to see those in every stall and little hand sanitizers right by the door so you can get a quick disinfect after each door touch. Also something that would be placed above the door lock in the stalls that would spray disinfect on the door lock every like 5 minutes or so because there are probably so many germs just on those locks. Yick! Oh and at Buffalo Wild Wings they have a little thing you can put sanitizer on a piece of toliet paper and rub it on the toliet seat so its all clean.

I agree, there is never anywhere to put my stuff. I heard that they took hooks off most doors because thieves were seeing when someone would be sitting down (with their pants down) and then reach over and grab whatever was hanging on the hooks.

If you notice some places have just put the hooks down lower to prevent this. It's crazy when you can't even go to the restroom without worrying about being robbed.

I am obviously finding any diversion I can from doing my chores. Thanks. ☺ Hey, why can't they pipe in Bob Marley songs...and His awesome videos too? We can call it....."Bob In The Bathroom" Then instead of having the usual boring old stinky public pots....it would be a fun and relaxing experience...when you had to go. And yes, there would be lots of hooks. We'd need them,because some of us might start dancing to the great sound of The King Of Reggae's Music. "Bob In The Bathroom" I like it. ♥ ~~~

I wish they would either fix or just remove all of the automatic flush toilets. It is incredibly freaky to be alone in the bathroom and hear toilets randomly flushing because the sensors are messed up.

Those automated flushing toilets should automatically flush once due to odor (courtesy flush). You have to get off the toilet and then sit down again to do that...and those huge toilet paper rolls NEVER ROLL...the paper breaks off one little sheet at a time...

Small toilets for children with seat covers for them and a small sink so they can reach to wash their hands. Definitely the hooks!

I would have to agree with more hooks on the doors. Also, somewhere to put my bags when I'm washing my hands. I hate putting my purse on the sink because they're wet sometimes. Maybe some hooks in front of the sinks will do.

Wet Naps instead of toilet paper...some of the toilet paper in those bathrooms in public places(bars, restaurants, etc.) could pass for Brawny; and enough room in airport facilities to take your carry-ons in without fighting until you sweat...lol

Hooks can be dangerous, which is why they may be in'stalled' in office bathrooms, but not in public one... (believe it or not they're also frequently stolen/removed, even in corporate environments).

I'd put an air-freshener system in (for one), thinking about this... or, a recorded spoken reminder to please be considerate (once you're in there)... and because things are broken by people, and there's kids to teens to men that simply like to be destructive to consider... there's really a bare-bones approach to limiting conveniences due to cost, liability, etc. In fact, it wouldn't concern you -- but men need a reminder about a "courtesy flush" more often than not, as they sit there in their stink -- you may discover this, shortly after marriage (even with the 'cutest' guys...) Any ideas like video monitors, sound systems, wash-water in stalls, etc. has its own problems due to this...
