It was the day I wrote this question but now it's just dry and dull. I'm in North East England by the way.

well just cats now. But the dogs were with them earlier. Omg, yesterday was the worst. the only good thing was while I was out it was dry. but I swear it was down pouring heavily for 6 hrs straight, with thunder and lightening. very weird. for October.

I live in Southern New England.

I am in northeast Pennsylvania, in the United States.
It was raining torrentially all day yesterday, but today it is cloudy and much cooler outside.
We are supposed to have a high of 55 degrees F today, where as the last few days have been in the upper 70s and low 80s.
I guess summer is over!

No.
It's funny though. Yesterday was 12, today's 21 and tomorrow's 12 again. It's really windy and fairly clear sky but as I was walking outside to get some lunch, I felt rain on my face. It was still blue sky; it must have just been blowing on the wind.
A sun shower.
No rainbow though.

Fortunately -- not today! Has been rainy and cold here (in the Northwest part of Oregon) throughout the week. Actually might see some sunshine today!

But when it rains cats and dogs I guess it's best not to step in a poodle

It's Friday, Oct. 12, here in South Carolina, US, & what a beautiful day it is. It's sunny, a little breezy, with a temp of 75 right now. Autumn arrives at last, after having such a hot & humid summer. Now, this is more like it. I can enjoy autumns now, because I'm not living in Ohio's snowbelt any longer.

It's raining, but not cats and dogs. I'm in North California.

Not at the moment, but I'm surrounded by cats and dog so does that count?
(2 cats on the desk and a large dog blocking the doorway)
