There is no law that covers lying on a resume. There would be no reason to sue you either. You are paid wages for working not for being truthful so you would not have to repay wages. The worst consequence is that you would get fired. Its never a good idea to lie on a resume. Many employers pay a service to investigate the job candidates and you will feel pretty embarassed when you get caught. Just as you want your employer to be honest with you, you need to be honest with them.

Depending on the job and state they can take legal action against you, especially if your wage was partially determined by experience you lied about on your resume. It's not worth it, plus most jobs run background checks now anyway so it may immediately be found out.

If you have committed fraud on your resume or job application and the employer finds out down the line they can fire you or withdraw the offer of employment. Depending on the job application language or employee handbook language about this it will depend. I have seen some job applications that state you can be fired and the company can/will pursue you for repayment of hiring costs.
