Isnt the Nobel Peace Prize supposed to be awarded to someone who advocates peace? Have I missed something? America is still at war with the rest of the world. There is still genocide in Darfur. Activists are getting shot in Mynammar. And all Gore has done is talk about how we should reduce our oil consumption. Its like giving a Grammy Award for Best Actor.

Shows you that the Nobel organization is less noble, and more out for a silly-liberal agenda (and media attention)... they went with a "hot-topic" vs. real world, real life events. Isn't there anyone, anywhere on Earth trying to keep things together and working for peace? (Africa? MiddleEast? Asia? South America?) Anyone combating poverty and disease? anyone repairing areas/helping people after devastating tsunamis, floods, famine etc. ANYwhere?
In fact, only after 25 years of using similar 'enviromental issues' for media attention -- and 1/2 year after the film won the Oscar it did.. did Al Gore go to SOLAR POWER for one of his mansions, and only after being humilated during a media event to promote his related rock concerts, at that. What exactly has he done? been a Front man in a movie?
Ok... seems the bar is lowered (again). I'm guessing there HAS to be another person on this Earth.. that deserves something called a PEACE PRIZE?

What a joke! I find him to be hypocritical. What is he personally doing to fix the issue of global warming? I mean I'm sure his big fancy house has all the latest gizmo's but does he really need all the space? And when will he start taking public transport to his meetings and speaking events? From what I've seen he doesn't do this. Do as I say not as I do, I suppose.

as dumb as he is, i am sure he would have made ALOT better president than bush. as a matter of fact even a 2 yr old can make a better president than bush.
